
Punjab Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), Ludhiana organized a 15-days residential certificate course in collaboration with MANAGE, Hyderabad to enhance the technical capacity of fertilizer dealers.
During the inaugural ceremony of the training course, Dr. K. B. Singh, Director, PAMETI enlightened the trainees about the importance of fertilizer management related to the certificate course and further said that after taking the training in this course, the trainees can start their own fertilizers related business under the Fertilizer Control Act, 1985 and they can provide more technical information to the farmers about the right choice of fertilizers in crops, quantity required, time of application and correct methods as well in a better way.
Ms Vandana, Course Coordinator, PAMETI while addressing the trainees said that this is the first course that has been started by PAMETI in collaboration with MANAGE, Hyderabad for the youth of Punjab. In this course, detailed information wasimparted about the health of plants, necessary macro and micro elements, soil testing, bio-fertilizers, composts, etc., and special field visits were also conducted.

Singh, Director, PAMETIand remarked that by adopting the right technology for the use of fertilizers, agricultural extension work will get a big response and more employment opportunities will be provided to the youth.
