PAMETI organized a three-day training programme on “Beekeeping” conducted under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) scheme in collaboration with Department of Entomology, PAU from March 07-09, 2025. The training program was attended by 22 Farmers.

            Dr K B Singh, Director, PAMETI welcomed participants and informed them about the role of PAMETI in conducting the trainings for the benefit of the farming fraternity. He emphasized on the importance and marketing of Beekeeping and told that this can earn substantial money for the entrepreneur.

Experts from Department of Entomology, PAU imparted practical knowledge and skill to the participants aboutbeekeeping practices, management of honey bee colonies, diseases and enemies of bees etc. so that they can start their own occupation. Government schemes for funding beekeeping and marketing of honey and other products also covered in this training course.

Ms. Vandana, Deputy Director-IT, PAMETI thanked the participants for attending the training program and she hoped some of them would take up the Beekeeping as a ready source of income. The programme concluded with certificate distribution and the vote of thanks from PAMETI.
