Vermi-compost and Bio-Inputs play crucial roles in sustainable agriculture. Vermi-compost is an organic fertilizer produced through the breakdown of organic matter by earthworms. Bio-inputs include bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides and other bio-stimulants derived from natural sources such as plants, microbes and enzymes.

In order to promote sustainable agriculture and impart skills to farmers in producing the above, three batches of farmers were trained at PAMETI under RKVY scheme. The first batch of 22 farmers was organized from 21-23 April, 2025 and second batch of 51 farmers was from 5-7 May, 2025.

Trainings included sessions by experts covering the importance, method of  preparation and impact of vermi-composting and Bio-inputs on soil health.  The govt. schemes and financial aid for starting this business was also discussed in the training. Participants praised the training content as well as practical approach of delivery.
