
The four day training programme on “Natural Farming” was conducted at PAMETI from March 17-20, 2025. The programme was funded by MANAGE Hyderabad. A total of Twenty-five officials from Department of Agriculture, Dairy Development and ATMA got registered for this programme.
Dr Shivafrom MANAGE took the introductory session and emphasized the significance of natural farming and its role in sustainable management of resources without hampering nature. Scientists from School of Organic Farming, PAU took technical sessions on various aspects of Natural Farming. During the training, an exposure visit to “Bhagat Puran Singh Pingalwara Natural Farm” at Amritsar was also organized to witness the field level execution of natural farming practices. Training also included the session about certification, branding and marketing of naturally produced agricultural products.
Dr Harmeet Kaur from PAMETI, coordinator for the programme, thanked all the experts for providing valuable knowledge and practical insights into natural farming methods. She hoped that the master trainers will disseminate this knowledge to their colleagues and the farmers which will pave the way for a more sustainable agriculture.
